Genco Auto Electric, Inc. was founded in 1966 by Robert T. McLaren. Bob started the business in the basement of his home as a one man operation, today Genco occupies 65,000 square feet.

Genco is a full line starter and alternator remanufacturer producing domestic, import, industrial and marine units. A specials rebuilder is trained to handle all classic car units. We currently produce 1000 starters and alternators per day. Our inventory covers the latest 90's models back to the 1940's. If we don't have it in stock we can R & R (rebuild and return) your unit in three days.
