         
1999 Volkswagon Jetta 2.0L/4cyl/Gas/SOHC Part #17780, & 17781 Problem: No Start Fix: Check the power window wiring routed in the door frame for a main ground wire break. 1999 Volkswagen Passat 1.8L/4cyl/Gas/Turbo/DOHC Part # 17751 Problem: Starter, windows, & courtesy lights not operating Fix: Check for corroded splices in wiring under drivers floor leading to the comfort system ECU. Especially the blue/red one that supplies power via fuse #14. 1999 Volkswagen Passat 2.8L/6cyl/Gas/DOHC Part # 17778 Problem: Starting inoperative Fix: Check for a bad wire connection for power to the central control module. It is located about 6 inches from the control under the harness tape.
