         
2000 Ford Ranger Charging Problem Part # 7750 Problem: Battery goes dead and service light comes on with battery and seat belt light, sometimes when key is not in the ignition. Fix: Check fuses #11 and #15 for corrosion coming from the back of the fuse box. ’98 Ford Windstar Part # 7786 Problem: Battery light on. Fix: Check if wire was corroded below the power brake booster just beyond the multi-pin connector. It may have rubbed through on a heater hose.
