With the plug pre-installed in the unit the "P" series of alternators eliminates the possibility of a bad plug causing repeated unit failure or harness burn-up. Simply cut off the existing "BBS" plug and insert wires into the butt-connectors supplied on new plug. To order units add the suffix "P" to the desired part number (ie. 7716-10P).

PART II
Want to eliminate the "BBS" plug and reduce the problem with the Ford IAR series alternator?

With stud connectors instead of a plug the "ST" series of alternators is an effective solution to the burn-up problems associated with these units. Simply cut off the exitsting "BBS" plug and use the hardware suppled to modify connector (instructions supplied with unit). Along with the threaded posts this unit features heavy duty 50 amp. diodes and a finned aluminum case for better heat dissipation. To order units add the suffix "ST" to the desired part number (ie. 7716-10ST).
