         
Intermittent Dead Battery/ Battery Goes Dead Overnight 2003-04 Cadillac GTS Units 11003, 11037, 11044 2004 Cadillac SRX Unit 11038 Some customers may complain of a battery going dead intermittently or even overnight. This can be caused by the Instrument Panel Brightness Lever on the overhead console being slightly engaged but not enough to keep on the interior lamps. The switch will cause Dash Integration Module to cycle between active and inactive, waking up other modules on the Class 2 data line and keeping them active, draining the vehicle battery. Important: The scan tool will not indicate the switch is active, you must inspect the position of the Brightness Lever to ensure it is not engaged in the slight detent between full brightness and the interior lamps on position. There is no repair or part available as of yet from Cadillac other than to inform and instruct the customer of this problem.
