1989 Lincolns with external regulators that have a digital dash, take note they use a special regulator.
Toyota Camary's have a noisy starter, new or old, they may not be properly tightened or seated in bellhousing.

1987-1993 VW Foxes have a no start problem, you should check the fuse panel between terminals no. 38 and no. 36 there should be a wire connector, if this is loose or missing fix or replace it.
