         
1996 Honda Civic 1.6 Liter 4 cylinder Alternator/Speed Censor Blows #15 Fuse The wiring harness rubs against a black metal support and grounds out the wire. There is a TSB on this which is 98-029. Reminder: Pulling the battery cables off to see if the vehicle stops running is not a test for a failing alternator. Pulling battery cables off while the vehicle is running is bad and will cause voltage spikes that can result in all kinds of electrical problems.
